We are thrilled to celebrate Lauryn Rose Teixeira, Y8, for her remarkable achievements as a young author and inspiring role model.
Lauryn is the author of “Lauryn That’s Me: The Journey of a Powerful African Girl”, a children’s book sharing her story, her pride in her heritage, and her vision for a fairer, more inclusive world.
She has been recognised on both national and international stages:
Global Child Prodigy Awards 2025 – named among the Top 100 Child Prodigies of the World in the Writing category at the House of Commons.
BYITC Inspire Awards 2024 – winner of the Emerging Writer Award, celebrating her creativity and dedication.
BBC Radio Make A Difference Awards 2025 – shortlisted in The Young Award category.
We are incredibly proud of Lauryn’s achievements and the way she continues to inspire others through her story, her writing, and her heritage.
