Today, pupils of House C commemorated the Feast Day of St. Catherine of Siena, a remarkable 14th-century Italian mystic and a revered figure in the Roman Catholic Church. Born in Siena, Italy, in 1347, Catherine dedicated her life to God through prayer, service, and a profound spiritual life. Her writings, particularly The Dialogue, and her letters, are considered important works of religious literature. She is also known for her work in helping the sick and the poor, and for her political activism in urging the Pope to return to Rome.
Today began with a special House assembly, where students delved into the life and legacy of St. Catherine, exploring her unwavering faith and dedication to service. This was followed by an early lunch, providing an opportunity for pupils to be together and reflect on the day's significance. After lunch everyone enjoyed games and fun activities on the Astro, fostering a sense of community and celebration among House C pupils.
This celebration not only honoured St. Catherine's contributions to the Church and society but also served as a reminder of the values of faith, service, and community that she embodied.
