🌟 STEM Week Highlights! 🌟
We have had a very busy week for STEM week, with each day bringing new experiments and ideas.
Buildings of the Future Competition
Pupils designed disaster-proof houses - to withstand all that comes with natural disasters and climate change challenges - we look forward to sharing their creativity!
Foods of the Future
Year 7 enjoyed conjuring up futuristic food creations in the Food Rooms. Prizes were given for the best projects!
KS3 STEM Practicals
Years 7–9 dove into exciting STEM activities during Science lessons, including Engineering projects, time travel and Forensic mystery investigations!
ASCC Women in STEM
Be inspired! Profiles of trailblazing women in STEM have been featured on screens all week, including our incredible STEM teachers!
IoPNN Youth Awards (King’s College London)
Pupils can also apply for a prestigious science & research award in fields like Psychology, Neuroimaging, and Women’s Mental Health. Please click on the link above to find out more.
Paper Aeroplane Competition
On Wednesday, at lunchtime, pupils came to the Astro to create paper planes - the winner for the best and fastest aeroplane is to be announced shortly, with a prize to be given to the creator!
Staff Bushtucker Trial Challenge
On Thursday lunch Staff bravely ate and some even enjoyed (!) creepy crawlies - representing their form! Who ate the most? We will announce this very soon!
All pupils and staff have been brilliantly involved all week celebrating STEM innovation! 🚀💡
