Year 7/8 Girls Football Results

Our Year 7/8 girls' football team put in a fantastic performance in their away match against Phoenix Academy on Tuesday, securing a well-earned 4-2 victory. With no dedicated goalkeeper available, Nya and Jemima showed great team spirit by stepping up to take turns in goal, making some crucial saves to keep us in the game.

From the first whistle, our team played with determination and energy. Jemima, then shortly after Maeve, opened the scoring with a brilliant strike, setting the tone for an exciting match. Phoenix responded with a goal of their own, but our team kept their composure as Jemima scored another!

The second half saw Maeve find the back of the net from almost the half way line, before the last five minutes where our seven girls took on the nine Pheonix girls. The entire squad put in a superb effort, with Alarna, Allegra, Lily, and Rhi Rhi working tirelessly in defence and midfield, showing great teamwork and resilience!🎉⚽👏
