CATHOLIC Life

Faith lived daily

Faith shapes daily life at All Saints through prayer, worship, reflection, and service to others.

CATHOLIC LIFE

Faith at the heart

of school life

The Catholic ethos is at the heart of our school community.
Faith is not separate from school life; it shapes how we learn, relate, and grow together.

PRAYER

Daily worship

and reflection

Each school day includes time for prayer and reflection.

Acts of worship take place in assemblies, tutor time, and Religious Education lessons, led by both students and staff.

Whole school Masses and liturgies follow the seasons of the Church, giving the community regular opportunities to gather in prayer.

Parish and

sacramental life

We value our links with local parishes and support students in celebrating the sacraments.

Students are given opportunities to participate in Mass, reconciliation, and other aspects of parish life.

FORMATION

Retreat experiences

Each year group takes part in an annual retreat, designed to support spiritual reflection and personal growth.

These experiences provide time away from the routine of school life to reflect, build relationships, and grow in faith.

Dei Verbum

and Lectio Divina

Dei Verbum

“I have come so that you may have life; life in all its fullness.” (John 10:10)

Dei Verbum, meaning Word of God, is a weekly Gospel reflection used across the school.

Students are invited to reflect on the Gospel and consider how its message connects to everyday life, both in school and beyond.

Lectio Divina

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

(Psalm 119:105)

Lectio Divina, meaning Divine Reading, is a more reflective way of engaging with Scripture.

Students are guided to listen, reflect, and consider how the Gospel speaks into their own lives.

In practice

These reflections take place during tutor time and form part of the rhythm of school life.

SERVICE

Living the gospel

Students are encouraged to live out Gospel values through acts of service and outreach.

This includes:

  • Supporting charities such as CAFOD
  • Community outreach initiatives
  • Events such as the annual Christmas dinner for the elderly

Care for others is part of daily life at All Saints.

PRAYER

School prayer

Dear Lord,

Help us today and always, to strengthen our faith in you.

Guide us in our work, to enable us to become more like you.

Encourage us to follow the example of the Saints,

to live our lives in service to others,

and to bring about your Kingdom here on earth.

Amen
