Elev:8 at PGL Liddington
Year 8 at PGL Liddington
Our Year 8 students had a fantastic start to the new academic year with an action-packed residential at PGL Liddington, launching this year’s ELEV:8 programme.
Set across 150 acres of countryside, woodland and lakes, the residential gave students the opportunity to step outside the classroom, challenge themselves and strengthen friendships through a wide range of outdoor activities, team-building tasks and problem-solving challenges.
Throughout the trip, students showed tremendous enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork. Whether taking on new physical challenges, encouraging their classmates or working together to overcome obstacles, they grew in confidence and developed skills that will support them throughout Year 8 and beyond.
The residential also provided opportunities to reflect, reconnect and put our school values into practice. Through supporting one another and embracing new experiences, students demonstrated Orare, Laborare, Servire – to pray, work and serve.
The trip marked an important first step in ELEV:8, our programme designed to make Year 8 a year of ambition, personal growth, achievement and opportunity.
What a brilliant way to begin the year and to embrace our Gospel mission:
“I have come so that you may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10
Well done to all our Year 8 students for throwing themselves into the experience, and a huge thank you to the staff who accompanied them and made the residential possible.
