  • Year 11 Leavers Assembly - Friday 20th March

Friday 20th March was also the day when we were forced to say a premature farewell to our Year 11 students. Head of Year Miss Henry organised a fantastic leavers assembly where staff and students gathered to pray together one last time and to exchange messages of gratitude and good wishes for the future. Awards and prizes were given out to students as they joined together with staff to reflect on their achievements and on five years spent together. After time for photographs and the traditional throwing of the mortarboard (thanks to our fabulous art department for their speed and creativity) our Year 11's joined the rest of the students to take part in the various fun activities going on around the school, with karaoke and a giant TikTok proving particularly popular with our outgoing pupils. Although their time at All Saints may have ended sooner than anyone would have wanted they are still very much in our thoughts and staff will continue to work tirelessly to ensure they get the grades that their hard work and dedication deserves.

  • Fun Day - Friday 20th March

Friday 20th March was our final day at school together for the foreseeable future. We made it all about the students and sent them home with smiles on their faces. We cancelled lessons and had a party. We sang songs, played games, had a meal together and shared in the wonderful value of just being human. Rounders, football, table tennis, basketball, cricket and karaoke were all on the menu and proved incredibly popular with teachers and students alike. So did the pizza and chips! We loved having the chance to unite as one big All Saints community and look forward to the day when we are able to do so once again.

  • Bob Marley Blue Plaque

All Saints Catholic College played a leading role I he unveiling of the English Heritage Blue plaque dedicated to Bob Marley. In a soaked laden Chelsea Street, year 10 students Zion Francis and Laurie Morency opened the ceremony with a stunning rendition of the BobMarley classic 'Three Little Birds' to deafening cheers. The event was hosted by the lauded historian David Olusoga who thanked our students for their wonderful participation. The unveiling of the plaque was done by the famous poet Benjamin Zephaniah who spoke fondly about writing to Bob Marley as a child about his ambition to be a poet. Quite incredibly, Marley wrote back to him saying that Britain needed his poetry. It was an inspirational speech that highlighted the power of music and poetry to change lives. At All Saints, this is something we agree with and have invested heavily in the performing arts. Finally, a huge thanks is due to Ms Wilkinson for organising the trip and bringing all of our GCSE Music students.

  • Year 7 Welcome Evening

It was wonderful to welcome our Year 7 Parents into the school with an evening of information as well as cheese and wine. Ms Fulla, Head of Year 7, got the evening under way and provided some salient advice to new Year 7 parents whilst members of staff served parents drinks and stopped to talk through what they would be teaching their children this year. It was also a fantastic opportunity for new parents to meet one another and build bonds that will last the course of five years. Finally, Mr O'Neill addressed the parents and highlighted the outstanding success of the outgoing year 11 students and stated that he wanted the new Year 7 to do even better in five years time. It truly was a wonderful occasion and served to get the year off to a successful start.

We have been celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results - the best in the school's history. We are delighted to celebrate the success of so many of our students; and commend their hard work and determined attitude that have enabled them to achieve their goals. Individual students who deserve specific mention are Ese Ahweyevu and Kayleigh Vernon who achieved Grades 8 and 9 across all subjects and Dalia Mirza with a total of 5 Grade 9s, and Mariakha Illescas, Maria Rahmani and Hanadi Al-Keraim who were awarded 7 Grade 9s between them.We are proud of the achievements of all our students, and wish them all the very best in their future endeavours. We are currently forecasting our Progress 8 score to be 0.3 - which will place as one of the top schools in both this borough as well as neighbouring local authorities. 73% of our students attained a good pass in both English and mathematics - significantly above the national average. These results are testament to the hard work of Governors, staff and students and outline the quality of education that is being provided at All Saints Catholic College.
