SUBJECT

Why Sport Studies Matters

Sport Studies offers students the opportunity to develop both practical sporting ability and a deeper understanding of the role sport plays in society.

Through participation, leadership and analysis, students build confidence, resilience and independence. The course supports students in developing the skills and habits needed for active, healthy lifestyles beyond school.

MISSION

Our Approach

The course combines practical performance with classroom learning, allowing students to experience sport from multiple perspectives.

Students develop leadership skills by planning and delivering activities, exploring contemporary issues in sport, and participating in outdoor and adventurous activities. Regular involvement in sport, both in lessons and beyond the classroom, is strongly encouraged.
