Welcome Evening for Year 8

We kicked off our welcome evenings of the Michaelmas term with Year 8 last Thursday. This was an important opportunity for us to reconnect with families, celebrate the start of the year, and share how we can work in partnership to support students’ learning and wellbeing.

During the evening, parents and carers:

Enjoyed a tour of our school, including our new building (The Assisi Building, above) and facilities, showcasing the exciting opportunities available to students.

Learned about how we will be supporting their child’s learning at home and in school, including the launch of our new Parent/Carer Guide to Supporting Learning. This booklet provides practical strategies and tools to help students stay organised, motivated, and ready to achieve their full potential.

Received key information about the upcoming Elev8 residential trip (22nd–24th September 2025), including packing lists, activities, and details about how we will communicate during the visit.

We look forward to welcoming parents and carers from other year groups over the coming weeks:

Thursday 25th September – Year 7, 6–7.30pm

Wednesday 1st October – Year 9, 6–7pm

Wednesday 8th October – Year 11, 4–7pm (early finish P5 for all students)

Tuesday 14th October – Year 10, 6–7pm
