Y10 visit Oriel College, Oxford
Oxford University Trip

This week, 24 Year 10 students from All Saints Catholic College visited Oxford University for an inspiring day designed to raise aspirations and broaden horizons.
The visit provided students with a valuable insight into higher education, beginning with an engaging session exploring university pathways and the opportunities available through both Oxbridge and other leading universities. Students also had the chance to hear directly from current Oxford undergraduates, gaining first-hand perspectives on university life, applications and academic study.
A highlight of the day was a tour of the historic
Oriel College, Oxford , where students explored the beautiful grounds, learned about Oxford traditions and enjoyed lunch in the college dining hall. The afternoon continued at
Keble College, Oxford, where students experienced another side of university life, from its vibrant student community to its unique blend of historic and modern architecture.
The visit concluded with an academic workshop that challenged students to think critically, debate ideas and engage with university-style learning.
Experiences such as these play a vital role in helping young people see the possibilities available to them and understand that higher education can be an achievable goal, regardless of background.
