Year 7 Retreat: Finding Our Place in the Body of Christ

Our Year 7 students recently took part in a special retreat centred on the theme ‘Body of Christ’, exploring what it means to belong to the All Saints Catholic College community and the important role each individual has to play.

Throughout the retreat, students reflected on the idea that, just as the Body of Christ is made up of many different parts, each with its own purpose, every member of our school community has unique gifts, talents and qualities to contribute.

The retreat encouraged students to consider how they can support one another, build friendships and play an active part in school life through praying together, working together and serving together.

As our Year 7 students continue to settle into life at All Saints, the retreat provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on their sense of belonging and the importance of kindness, respect and service to others.

At the heart of the day was a simple but powerful message: every student matters, every student belongs, and every student has an important part to play.

The retreat was a wonderful reflection of our school motto, Orare, Laborare, Servire – To Pray, To Work, To Serve – and the Catholic values that unite our All Saints community.
