This week at All Saints Catholic College, our Year 9 students are proving that small actions can have a big impact. As part of Kindness Week, they’ve been set a special challenge: to carry out small acts of kindness each day—and it’s already creating a ripple effect of positivity around the school.

What counts as a small act of kindness? It could be something as simple as inviting someone to join them at lunch, checking in on a classmate, offering a helping hand, or even just sharing a smile and a kind word. These moments might seem minor, but they help build a stronger, more caring school community—one where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.

The aim of Kindness Week is to show that kindness is contagious. One kind gesture can inspire another—and before you know it, that positive energy spreads throughout classrooms, corridors, and playgrounds.

We’re incredibly proud of how Year 9 has embraced this initiative. Their willingness to reach out and lift others up truly reflects the values we aim to instil in all our students.

🟊 Look out for Kindness Stars!

To celebrate and encourage this spirit of compassion, we’ve introduced Kindness Stars. If you witness a Year 9 pupil going out of their way to be kind—whether helping a peer, offering encouragement, or simply making someone’s day better—please take a moment to reward them with a Kindness Star. Every star is a step towards a more thoughtful and connected school environment.
