On Monday 12th October, a group of All Saints Catholic College students enjoyed an exciting trip to New Scientist Live 2026 at ExCeL London, as a reward for their exceptional effort, enthusiasm and engagement in Science over the past 12 months.
Held on the event's dedicated Schools' Day, New Scientist Live was one of the UK's largest celebrations of science, bringing together leading scientists, researchers and innovators to showcase the latest discoveries and breakthroughs shaping our world.
With over 200 hands-on activities, more than 80 scientific organisations and four inspiring stages, the exhibition offered an incredible opportunity to discover science beyond the classroom. From artificial intelligence, robotics and quantum computing to space exploration, medical breakthroughs and the mysteries of the human body, there was something to spark every student's curiosity.
The event featured interactive experiments, live demonstrations and fascinating exhibits, including humanoid robots, futuristic healthcare technology and innovations in sustainable energy.
The trip was a thoroughly deserved reward for our students, recognising their hard work, commitment and passion for Science throughout the past year.
A huge congratulations to everyone who was selected. We hope the experience inspired our budding scientists to continue asking questions, exploring new ideas and perhaps even pursuing a future career in science!
