LAMDA Brings Shakespeare's Twelfth Night to All Saints

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) to All Saints Catholic College for a fantastic theatrical experience, giving our pupils the opportunity to work with talented young actors and enjoy a live performance of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

The visit formed part of LAMDA's 2026 Shakespeare in Schools Tour, which brings professional-standard theatre into secondary schools, performed by graduating MFA Professional Acting students.

Pupils were treated to Shakespeare's much-loved romantic comedy, a lively tale of mistaken identity, love and confusion. Following a shipwreck, Viola disguises herself as a young man, setting in motion a wonderfully entertaining series of misunderstandings and unexpected romances.

Alongside the performance, our pupils had the opportunity to work with the LAMDA team, gaining valuable insights into acting, performance and the process of bringing Shakespeare's words to life.

Experiences like these are a wonderful way to make Shakespeare accessible and engaging, allowing pupils to see the plays they study transformed from words on a page into live theatre.

A huge thank you to the LAMDA team for visiting All Saints and providing such an inspiring opportunity for our pupils. We are delighted to be able to offer experiences that encourage creativity, build confidence and nurture a love of the performing arts.

At All Saints Catholic College, we want every pupil to have access to opportunities that enrich their education, broaden their horizons and help them flourish — both inside and beyond the classroom. Alongside their academic education, our pupils benefit from an exceptional range of opportunities in music, sport, drama, leadership, faith, careers, trips and enrichment. Over the past year alone, pupils have performed at Cadogan Hall and Westminster Cathedral, represented the borough in sport, taken part in residentials and cultural visits, visited the University of Oxford, attended workshops at Imperial College London and worked with professional musicians, artists and authors. The Mission Fund helps make these opportunities possible. Thanks to the generosity of our families, the Fund has already helped provide: Floodlights for our Astro, allowing pupils to continue sport during the darker winter months Duke of Edinburgh equipment, enabling more pupils to participate Books and reading resources Outreach programmes and opportunities beyond the classroom Playtime equipment to make break and lunchtime more active and engaging With increasing pressures on school budgets, contributions from our community allow us to provide experiences and resources that would otherwise be difficult to fund. Most importantly, they help us ensure that all pupils can benefit, regardless of their circumstances. Could you support the Mission Fund? We are asking families who are able to do so to consider making a monthly or annual contribution. There is no required amount — every donation, however small, contributes to what we can provide for our young people. Click here to learn more
