Y6 Taster Days

Year 6 Taster Days at All Saints

We have been delighted to welcome pupils from local primary schools to All Saints Catholic College for our Year 6 Taster Days this term, giving them the opportunity to experience secondary school life and discover what it is like to be part of the All Saints community.

This term, we have welcomed pupils from:

• St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary School, Brent
• Saint Mary Magdalene’s, Brent
• St Mary’s RC Primary School, Brook Green
• Holy Family Catholic Primary School, Ealing

During their visit, pupils experienced a full programme of activities, beginning with a warm welcome before taking part in taster lessons in Drama, History and Science. They had the chance to meet our teachers, explore different areas of the school and experience the variety and challenge of secondary school lessons.

Our visitors also enjoyed lunch together in the canteen before heading out to the Astro for activities and time to get to know one another. The day concluded with an opportunity to reflect on their experience before returning to their primary schools.

It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm, curiosity and confidence of our Year 6 visitors. We hope the Taster Days have given pupils an exciting insight into life at All Saints and the many opportunities available to them as they prepare for the next stage of their education.

We look forward to welcoming more local primary schools to All Saints throughout the year.
